When we refer to Kiwi Bach rules we are referring to the standards of which it is expected you leave the property.  In traditions of the bach - remember this is a family's home - it is expected you will do a basic amount of cleaning whilst you are there. This includes doing your own dishes, wiping the bench, if you dirty the oven clean it, if your spill something in the fridge clean it etc. You will find exact expectations in your welcome folder.

This is a family home, furnishings are what our family use. These are an ecliptic mix of what we love. 

Your cleaning fee included in the booking includes the laundry of supplied linen, and a general assurance that the property is ready for the next user. If our cleaner deems the cleaning required after your stay to be excessive we will forward the additional cost to the booking person. 

We understand that plans aren't always set in concrete. If you notify us at least 20 working days out from your stated booking we will refund 100% of the fees paid. If the booking is cancelled 10 - 20 working days from the booking date we will refund 50% of the booking fees paid. If the notification is less than 10 working days unfortunately we will not be able to refund any fees as we are unlikely to be able to advertise and replace your booking in that time. 

On booking confirmation with Westie for the dates required we will email you an invoice for payment. This is payable to a New Zealand Bank Account number. One nights deposit is required at time of booking to secure the dates, and the remainder is due within 10 working days (or for short notice bookings full payment is required at least 5 working days before booked dates). 

Westie's main source of heating is the trusty log fire in the lounge. As per the kiwi bach rules, if you use all the kindling, please chop some more. Wood is located in the wood shed behind the property. Although we have a fire guard around this - please supervise children at all times. 

Excluding infants, 7 is the maximum number of persons to stay at Westie. Although we are welcoming of you having people visit during the day, overnight extras are not allowed. 

No pets are currently able to stay at Westie. 

Check in is available after 3pm on the day you have booked. As this is a self service (you will be notified how on booking) there is no cut off time after this. 

Check out is by 10am the morning of your last night booked. Please adhere to this as it allows the cleaners to ensure the linens are changed, and all cleaning is completed by the next booking. 

Linen is provided for the beds booked for use only. This includes pillow slips, top and bottom sheets. A towel will be provided for each person, and communal bath mats for the bathroom. There will also be tea towels provided in the kitchen.

Please ensure you let us know if you plan to use the Sofa Bed so that linen is left out for this. 

If you use a bed that was not booked,  a cleaning invoice will be forwarded to the booking person, to pay for the additional cleaning of the beds (mattress, pillows etc).
